Brittany from @beetwosweet not only won the DANCE FLOOR category with this great documentary moment but she also came 2nd, 3rd and 4th in this category from more than 180 entries..Solid effort indeed.⁠

"When I met Ryan and Eric, I was struck by two things: how supportive they were of each other, and how their first order of wedding planning was to create an unforgettable experience for their guests. Upon meeting Miss Leilani Lopez, I knew her drag queen performance would be a spectacular highlight of their day! She was absolutely fabulous: from her entrance during dinner to "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from The Little Mermaid (a nod to Ryan's work with Walt Disney), to bursting onto the dance floor to perform ABBA's "Mama Mia," which culminated with the finale "lap dance" for Eric's parents, the biggest surprise of all (and the subject of my photo)! I wanted to capture all of the emotion in the room, a snapshot in time showing every guest engaged and enthralled ... with a resounding message about celebrating love and making your own rules, and following your heart always. Ryan and Eric's wedding will always be one of my favourites"⁠

"Jess + Jon are all about a good party! We had been lucky enough to shoot a few weddings where they were guests and we knew that the party was a big priority for them. While shooting we are always looking for a different perspective. When I saw a mezzanine above where the "shot ski" was going to be happening i knew i had to get this image! It was a unique perspective of their guests having an awesome time. Perfect!"⁠

From Virginia about this entry -"When it came to their wedding, Mirna and Jamie wanted it to be as relaxed and as fun as possible. It was their priority to spend time away from the hustle of the city and escape to the rugged rocky mountains as they are avid hikers and explorers. They have hiked trails and gone to places that push the limits. It was important to showcase this very important part of their lives when it was time to tie the knot. They wanted to be among nature, and truly spend time together in one of the most beautiful places in Canada. We took a helicopter to the location and spent the entire weekend hiking together before finding the perfect spot. In sharing vows and making lifelong commitments to one another, everything came together beautifully in this intimate setting with two incredibly kind souls." ⁠

From Benedetto about this beautiful moment - I always push myself to photograph “standard” things and wedding events in a different way. When it comes to shoes or other detail shots, they can become ordinary and static. So I try harder to show them them in real life situations by adding a human factor. ⁠

From Keegan about this entry - The couple were keen on getting some portraits down at the beach so I went for a walk with them. I noticed everyone sun baking on the steps and I was worried about taking photos of the public. When I saw the couple walking in I just composed the shot and waited for them to get closer to the middle of the frame. I didn't think much of it at the time. It wasn't until I got home that I realised everyone on the steps looked like they were in their own little world. They hadn't noticed me or even the couple for that matter. The couple were in a perfect position and the groom was holding the brides dress which also made the shot interesting⁠

Hi folks! I’m Patrick Lombaert, a French wedding photographer living in Brittany (Breizh Powa!), a well-known place thanks to its famous speciality “galette saucisse”! "You know, weddings are like a drug. When the season ends, we are broken, psychologically and physically drained with all the investment we have given. But we only want to go back… Yes, I’m a junky." ⁠

Bride Kendra was still getting her make-up and hair done, while her bridesmaids were getting last minute touch ups and putting on their undergarment shape wear (we call them spanks in Australia). The energy in the room was wild and filled with excitement as the ceremony time was drawing closer. Someone voiced the idea that we should get a "we're-in-our-shape-wear-kardashian-lol" photo, and the girls needed no encouragement! ⁠

Everyone assembled together and struck a pose, even including Kris Jenner (mother of the bride) We played with a few different compositions. I clicked the shutter. It was magic.

We gathered a little more info from Antonio about this timeless image. When we saw it we thought maybe it had been taken in the 70's. Not so!⁠

From Antonio - The shoot's overall theme was two lovers from a modern era pursuing love in an earlier time. ⁠
⁠
For this shot, I asked the couple to sit inside the car and pretend they were reading something exciting in the paper. I placed a Canon 600EX-RT with a @magnetmod MagSphere behind the couple. I then composed and shot the image with a Canon 5D MKIII with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens.⁠
Image exposure – ISO = 1600, Shutterspeed = 1/500, Aperture = f/2.8. The photo was shot in color and processed in Lightroom, with some minor edits in photoshop.⁠

We've been very busy behind the scenes verifying entries and creating the winners galleries on the website. This has all taken a little more time than we'd anticipated. ⁠

One reason for this is that we are making the galleries TOP 15 galleries, instead of the previous Top 10's. There are just too many amazing entries!⁠
