Black Saddle Photography – Sara Lecappelain

Hi, I'm Sara. I am based out of Callander, Ontario, servicing the North Bay + Muskoka area. I am available to travel anywhere for weddings. My passion is destination elopements and intimate weddings. Capturing the moments that move you and documenting your story one photo at a time. I have three young children, a wonderful husband, a farm with lots of fur babies, and a wedding venue! We bought our farm in 2017 and called it Black Saddle Farm. We named our farm and my photography business after the black saddle on a German Shepherds back. Then we bought a wedding venue in June 2023 and continue the theme. It's called Black Saddle Barn.

My style is outdoor focused and raw. I love capturing authentic moments rather than crafted ones. Kick off your shoes, run wild in the woods, jump in lake, and let me capture it all for you! I am interested in capturing genuine moments and FEELING that come easy to you. Moments can happen in a heart beat, and aren't always seen. It's my goal to capture as many of those as I can so you can see what I see of you and your loved ones.

What I look for in my own photos are those everyday moments. These moments are what I try to hold onto in my mind. I always have my camera ready so we can cherish those moments forever.

Being creative also sets my soul on fire. No idea is too wild. Let’s brainstorm and make magic together.

My ideal session/wedding: full of love and emotion, intimate, wild, involves nature, and anything else fun you have in mind! I want to capture feeling, rather than a perfectly staged photo.

When I am convincing my husband we need more family photos (all the time), I remind him, you never regret taking the photos, but you might regret not taking them. Life happens in a heart beat. Live fully and love unconditionally. Let me be the one to document your story.
