We welcome International Wedding Photographer Sarah Finlay!

Hello, I’m Sarah.

I am a mother of 3 little people, a farmers wife and a visual story teller.

I specialize in people Photography. As my photography journey started in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand I still travel back frequently to cover weddings in the Bay of Plenty district as well catching up with friends and family while I'm there! I am however now based in Gordonton, Hamilton and have a small studio here at my home. 

This photography journey started for me just over 5 years ago. I was a stay at home mum yearning for a career where I could work around my family commitments while also being able to express myself creatively. I had studied at Elam School of fine Arts in Auckland as a painter but found that my paintings were a very personal subject matter and I had trouble connecting my art with my viewers. It was after taking my own daughter for a newborn photography session that I fell in love with the art of photography, so I brought an old DSLR camera on Trade me and google taught myself how to use it! Due to my artistic background the different elements of light, time and depth of field really made sense to me and I loved that my audience was already invested in the art as they already LOVE the subject matter! 

 I really love creating beautiful pictures and photography is a fantastic medium to do this! I also love LOVE!
