Tinted Photography is the dynamic duo of Ben Lane and Sirjana Singh. Tinted Photography were the Engagement category winner in 2024 and join us this year as one of our 2025 IWPOTY Judges. Based out of Christchurch in New Zealand they have 12 years of experience shooting side-by-side. They’ve built a practice rooted in creative exploration, rather than repetition. They describe their approach is collaborative, intentional, and constantly evolving.
What will make an entry stand out to you this year?Â
Judging isn’t just about selecting winners—it’s about celebrating the depth and range of creative voices in our industry. It reminds us why we fell in love with photography in the first place: not for perfection, but for the power of an image to move you.
What’s one myth about wedding photography that you would love to bust?
Expensive gear does not lead to epic photos – You do!
Is there a past IWPOTY image (or winner) that really blew you away? Why?
Fabio Mirulla – The image of the lampshade as a dress truly resonated with us. It was clever, playful, and beautifully composed—a great blend of creativity and technical finesse.
Do you use presets or post production services with your post production ? If so, which ones ?
Nope, Sirjana develops a new preset for the majority of our couples based on their vibe and the weather on the day of their session.
One piece of advice for other photographers or small business owners..
Surround yourself with like-minded creatives. We went it alone for years before discovering how energising it is to connect with others who truly understand the creative life—it’s been one of the most invigorating shifts in our journey.
